  12.     Has anybody been able to get a Maxtech XVM144I modem to work reliably 
  13. under windows 3.1 or 95.  When I can get it to work it works great but most
  14. of the time it refuses to dial or it dials with pulse, therefore getting 
  15. confused because of the call-waiting.  Sometimes it even locks up the whole 
  16. computer and I am forced to turn it off and back on.  The only thing I can 
  17. think of, is that the modem somtimes does not respond to the command sets.
  18. This modem is set up as com2 irq3, if anyone has any ideas please let me know,
  19. also if anyone has maxtech's number please e-mail it to me the one the box is 
  20. disconnected.  Any help would be appreciated.
